The Gold Beach Community Fund – Giving with a purpose

Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Central Curry County, Oregon


Initially funded by the Rotary Club of Gold Beach, the now independent Gold Beach Community Fund provides financial support for projects, activities and services with an aim of enhancing Central Curry County for citizens and visitors.

What is The Gold Beach Community Fund designed to do?

The Fund gives everyone an opportunity to provide tax-deductible financial support through donations and estate planned bequests that directly benefit our community.


Guided by a Committee of local residents and administered by the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF), the Gold Beach Community Fund’s objective is to provide grant funds for deserving local endeavors, in areas related to:

  • Recreational activity and facility development
  • Opportunities for cultural enhancement
  • Technical assistance and vocational projects
  • Academic and lifestyle improvements
  • Restoration of environmental assets
  • Youth-related facilities and activities

Tax Deductible Donations

The fund is administered by the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) under contractual agreement with the Fund’s Advisory Committee. Under IRS Code 501(c)(3), OCF was incorporated to qualify as an exempt organization; and operates exclusively for the purpose of administrating charitable funds.  The assets of the fund are held and invested by OCF which annually distributes back a portion of the Fund to be used solely in support of community projects, at the discretion of the Fund’s Board of Directors.

Gifting to the Gold Beach Community Fund

The community fund is grateful for gifts of any amount.  Gifts of $100 or more are recognized on the donor board at Gold Beach City Hall.  Gifts of $5,000 or more are recognized on the Gold List at Gold Beach City Hall. Gifts of $10,000 or more for specified projects, will be recognized and may be dedicated in the name of an individual or family of your choice.
